Colonel Daniel F. Kuntz graduated Indiana University of Pennsylvania and was commissioned in the Regular Army as an Infantry Officer in 1992. He is a graduate of the Infantry Officer Basic Course, Air Assault School, Airborne School, Jumpmaster School, Signal Officer Branch Qualification Course, Signal Officer Advanced Course, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, US Army Command and General Staff College, and the US Army War College. His most recent assignment was as the G3 of the 7th Signal Command (Theater) on Fort Gordon GA. Previous non-command assignments include Platoon Leader, XO, and Signal Officer in the 101st ABN DIV (Air Assault); Signal officer in the 82nd ABN DIV, Group Signal Officer for the 43d Area Support Group, Fort Carson CO; Regimental Signal Officer for the 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment (OIF I); Brigade Signal Officer 4th Brigade Combat Team of 3 ID (OIF III); Deputy G6 of 3 ID with 14 month “Surge” of forces into Iraq; S3 Operations Officer for the 93rd Signal Brigade, Fort Eustis VA; J63 Plans and Operations Division Chief, US SOUTHCOM; Military Deputy Director, J6, US SOUTHCOM. Colonel Kuntz’s command assignments include 19 months as the Commander of Bravo Company, 82nd Signal Battalion, 82nd ABN DIV and 24 months as the Commander of the 67th Expeditionary Signal Battalion, at Fort Gordon, GA.
