Tamer Refaei is a Principle Information Security Scientist at the MITRE Corporation. He received his PhD in Computer Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 2007. He has authored several papers in the area of communications for challenged environments. He served as the Principal Investigator for a MITRE funded research project which investigates the application of Named Data Networks in tactical communication environments.
