Tom launched Gensler’s hospitality practice in the 1990s and has developed it on an international scale—leading numerous complex mixed-use, entertainment, master planning, and hospitality projects. His well-rounded experience as a designer, architect, and strategic thinker gives him a comprehensive understanding of complex lifestyle projects and insight into delivering outstanding guest experiences. Tom’s commitment understanding the connection between design, business and the human experience is demonstrated through his involvement with Gensler’s Experience IndexSM (EXI). This research uncovers new ways of evaluating spatial design, guides projects in innovative ways and helps measure success. The insights achieved adds to Tom’s goal of translating client visions into successful and memorable designs.
