Joshua Liao, M.D., M.Sc., is a board certified physician at UW Medical Center, associate medical director of Contracting and Value-Based Care and a UW assistant professor of General Internal Medicine. Dr. Liao strives to provide excellent care to patients admitted to the hospital. As associate medical director, he helps lead initiatives aimed at improving the quality and value of care provided to patients at UW. He feels truly privileged to care for patients in the hospital, and his ultimate goal is to work with each patient to establish diagnostic and treatment plans that incorporate medical evidence and their individual needs, experiences and values. Dr. Liao earned his M.Sc. from the University of Pennsylvania and his M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine, Waco, Texas. He is an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics in the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
