Ruth is the Chief Engineer Bridges & Structures for Norfolk Southern Railway, where she has been employed since graduating from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a BS in Civil Engineering in 2008. She has a licensed Professional Engineer in Georgia since 2013. She is an active member of NS’ ERGs and has chaired Women in Norfolk Southern as well. Ruth is currently Chair of AREMA Committee 15 – Steel Structures on which she has served for 15 years. She has been the first female in many positions at NS, AREMA and within the industry.
