Kendel McCarley has been with Raytheon for 19 years and is currently a Principal Investigator and Technology Capture Manager at Raytheon Missile Systems. He has been the technical and management lead for internal research into computing technologies and architectures for advanced signal processing and machine learning. He was chosen as the CASE principal investigator for his experience across all technical disciplines including cyber security, embedded processor protection (anti-tamper), systems engineering, advanced computing architectures, signal processing, and hardware/software co-design. Over the last thirty years, Mr. McCarley has led or contributed to multiple unclassified and classified projects for advanced signal processing in size, weight, and space (SWaP) constrained environments. Mr. McCarley has led efforts to harden embedded systems against intrusion via software or hardware attacks and was the principle investigator for the Collaborative Operations in Denied Environment (CODE) development IRAD. Kendell holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Oklahoma State University. He has authored multiple papers on transformational and reconfigurable computing and is a licensed pilot, avid aviator and collector of aircraft.
