Dr. Steven Noel is a researcher in MITRE’s Cyber Security Technical Center. For nearly 20 years, he has led multi-disciplinary teams conducting advanced research in cyber security, particularly in the areas of vulnerability path analysis, optimal network hardening, cyber situational understanding, attack response, and mission impact analysis. He has nearly 80 publications, with ~3300 citations (h-index 27), and holds 10 patents. He led the development of the Cauldron and CyGraph tools for cyber security graph analytics/visualization, which have been transitioned to the government and commercial sectors. He earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2001.
