Jose V. Siles (Senior Member, IEEE) received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in telecommunication and electrical engineering from the Technical University of Madrid, Madrid, Spain, in 2003 and 2008, respectively. In September 2010, he joined the Submillimeter-Wave Advanced Technology Group at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), California Institute of Technology, Pasadena CA, USA, as a Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellow. He is an experienced terahertz component and circuit designer, having designed and tested 200-, 700-, 1900-, and 2700-GHz frequency multiplier circuit designs, and 340-, 600-, and 1200-GHz frequency mixer circuits, all of them exhibiting world-record performances.
