PARC


Austin Pugh is the Senior Director of Global Business Development and Head of Public Sector. He oversees PARC’s engagement and capture strategies for obtaining new business with state and federal agencies. He works closely with PARC’s principal investigators and senior management on evaluating new government R&D priorities, analyzing synergies with PARC's core competencies, and generating new business that advances PARC's technology commercialization goals. Prior to joining PARC, he was a Senior Advisor in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy through CSRA International, Inc. In this capacity, he advised the Assistant Secretary on a $2 billion R&D portfolio and led significant efforts in energy finance, advanced manufacturing policy, and technology commercialization. During this time, he co-chaired the White House's Lab-to-Market team on opening federal R&D labs to the public and served on the White House’s federal taskforce to Detroit. His previous experience includes work at the American Council on Renewable Energy focused on the U.S. Partnership for Renewable Energy Finance, and Arbor Advisors, a boutique mergers and acquisitions advisory firm in Palo Alto, California. He has also served on the National Board of the American Lung Association and Little Village Foundation. He received an Interdisciplinary Degree in Environmental Engineering, Economics and Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
