Selected in the fourth round of the 2005 draft pick out of Saginaw Valley State by the Philadelphia Eagles, Herremans played in 127 regular-season games (124 starts) and started eight playoff games as an Eagle, spanning the positions of left tackle, left guard, and right tackle. Personal injuries and witnessing injuries of those around him led Herremans to advocate passionately for medicinal cannabis as one of many wellness alternatives to traditional forms of pain management following his storied success on the field. Through his nonprofit The Herremans Foundation, Herremans provides resources and support for various charitable organizations operating in local, national and global communities. He also co-founded Athletes for CARE, a nonprofit dedicated to creating a community for athletes to find support, opportunity and purpose after a career in sports.
