Marlene Stein is the Regional Nutritionist for School Programs with over 25 years of experience in Child Nutrition Programs. She has over 12 years experience with USDA where she is the nutrition expert for all areas of the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs, to include nutrition-related issues dealing with meeting the meal pattern regulations for all the Child Nutrition Programs, crediting of foods, special dietary needs, food safety, and sanitation. Prior to coming to USDA, Marlene was the Child Nutritionist with the US Department of the Army at Fort Monmouth in Eatontown, NJ for 13 years, for all for Fort Monmouth Child and Youth Services Programs: Child Development Center, School Age Service and Family Child Care. Marlene earned a BS in Food and Nutritional Science from the University of Rhode Island and has attended New York University completing courses towards a Masters in Food Service and Business Administration.
