Mr. Timothy P. “Tim” McIntyre is the Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) Product Support Manager (PSM) and the Chief, MILSATCOM Operations Support and Sustainment Division, MILSATCOM Systems Directorate, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. As the MILSATCOM PSM, Mr. McIntyre is responsible for all product support planning as well as the product support execution for MILSATCOM satellites and world-wide command and control infrastructure valued at over $42 billion dollars. His division plans for life cycle product support, facilitates system activation and transition, sustains operational MILSATCOM systems and equipment, and executes assigned programs to provide critical worldwide SATCOM capabilities to the President, Secretary of Defense, Combatant Commanders, U.S. Warfighters, and International/Coalition Partners engaged across the full spectrum of military operations. Mr. McIntyre was selected for his current position in June 2015 where he manages an annual budget in excess of $325 million dollars.
Mr. McIntyre graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He is also a graduate of the Air Force Institute of Technology with a Master of Science degree in Systems Management. Mr. McIntyre was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps and served on active duty for 20 years retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He entered civil service with the Air Force in 2004.
