Originally from the island nation of Samoa, Charles Kimball quickly established himself as a successful interior designer in Canada after earning a Diploma of Interior Design Technology from Lakeland College in 2014. Working in various positions early in his career, he became a Lead Designer at a design/build/renovation firm in Winnipeg specializing in kitchen and bathroom renovations; Premier Companies. In less than five years, Kimball and Premier went from working on $30,000 kitchen and bathroom renovations to half-a-million-dollar additions and million-dollar constructions projects. As Premier’s lead designer, Kimball is spearheading projects, determining the narrative of work and level of quality and, above all, improving clients’ quality of life through creation. He says his work is all about collaboration and transparency. “I like the application of interior design to human beings and how we live.” He has won numerous awards from organizations including being an NKBA 30 under 30 (2019) and the Manitoba Home Builders Association, he has been instrumental in Premier’s growth and success in its local marketplace.
