Mr. Markov is an expert on military technology available on the world's defense markets and provides his research to the Department of Defense. The purpose of this research is: (1) understanding the potential military threats to the United States (US) from capabilities offered on the international arms market, and (2) understanding the how and why different approaches are taken by foreign research, development, and acquisition (RD&A) enterprises to developing, producing, and fielding military capabilities.
