Founded in Austin TX in 1987 SXSW is best known for its conference and festivals that celebrate the convergence of the interactive, film, and music industries. Since 1994, Darin has worked in various roles at SXSW, including overseeing the Music Festival as well as various marketing and financial duties. He is currently the Chief Revenue Officer where he oversees a staff of 40 people who work to bring innovative companies from around the world to the annual SXSW event in Austin each March. He was born and raised in Los Angeles and graduated from the University of Texas with a BA in Marketing.
