Dan Rowell

Dan is a Santa Barbara local who joined the division in August 2015 after graduating from UC Santa Barbara's Environmental Studies program. In November 2019 Dan became a Certified Zero Waste Practitioner with the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA). Dan aims to implement, develop, and monitor modern waste management programs. He helps lead a variety of program areas in the Environmental Services Division including Construction Waste, Business Outreach, Plan Review, and most recently Food Rescue. Dan is an avid soccer player, and also loves to travel, alpine ski, and surf.
