Mason Towe is the Recycling Program Education Specialist for Athens-Clarke County Solid Waste Department in Athens, Georgia. He is responsible for creating and implementing waste reduction education and outreach programs and partnering with local K-12 schools and colleges. Mason currently spearheads efforts in the realms of creative reuse, source reduction, facility tours, and special events. Mason is also Master Composter and a member of the Georgia Recycling Coalition, SWANA Georgia, and the interdepartmental Innovation Ambassadors program within ACC Unified Government. Mason graduated from University of Georgia in 2016 with dual degrees in economics and sociology, with certificates in sustainability and environmental ethics.
