Karen Hays is Chief of the Air Protection Branch of the Georgia Environmental Protection Division. She has been with EPD since 1998. Karen started work in the Air Protection Branch as an inspector, and was manager of the Stationary Source Compliance and Policy and Radiation Programs prior to becoming Branch Chief in 2015. Karen has a BS in Engineering and Applied Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Masters in Environmental Engineering from Georgia Tech. Karen is registered in Georgia as a Professional Engineer and a 2017 graduate of the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership.
