Carissa Baker received her B.A. and M.A. in Literature from Chapman University and University of Central Florida respectively (UCF). She graduated from the Texts and Technology doctoral program at UCF with her dissertation research focused on theme park storytelling. She has published on theme park narratives and lectured on this work at academic conferences and to theme park design and management students in the US and the Netherlands. Carissa is a Professor of English at Seminole State College where she teaches composition, literature, and humanities classes focused on popular culture like Disney and Harry Potter.
