Jack Cargas is Managing Director and Head of Originations - Renewable Energy Finance at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Cargas is responsible for new business activities in the structured asset financing of wind power and solar power facilities, with a particular focus on tax equity. Cargas has been involved in structured asset financing and equipment leasing for over twenty years. He has led over $20 billion of structured financings, for a wide variety of assets, including wind, solar, geothermal, coal and gas-fired power generation facilities; commercial and corporate aircraft; construction equipment; manufacturing equipment; and rolling stock, including trains and double-decker buses. These financings have involved numerous jurisdictions in North America, Europe, and Australiasia. Cargas has worked for Bank of America in Hong Kong and Tokyo and is now based in San Francisco.
