JOSEPH FICARELLI is a lieutenant in the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) assigned to the third division in midtown Manhattan. Previously, he was assigned to Ladder 61 and Engine 63. He was a volunteer firefighter from 2001 to 2008, when he joined FDNY. He has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Manhattan College.
