Torsten Bassell is a partner at Lari-Joni & Bassell, LLP. He is a trial lawyer, who has secured significant settlements, verdicts, and judgments for his clients in cases involving personal injury and insurance bad faith. Since starting his practice, he has tried cases throughout Northern and Southern California. His verdicts have been featured by The Recorder and The National Law Journal as some of the "Top 100 Verdicts" in California and the nation. He is a past finalist for CAALA's Rising Star Award, CAALA's Trial Lawyer of the Year Award, and CAOC's Street Fighter of the Year Award. He has been selected by Southern California Super Lawyers every year since his fifth year of practice in 2012, and he has been recognized repeatedly by the Los Angeles Daily Journal and the Santa Barbara News Press for his work on behalf of consumers. Presently, he is as a member of CAALA's Board of Governors, an associate-ranked member of ABOTA, and serves as an update author for Jefferson's California Evidence Benchbook.
