Sharon J. Arkin is the principal of The Arkin Law Firm. She has been certified by the California State Bar, Board of Legal Specialization as an appellate specialist since 2001. She specializes in doing high-level law-and-motion and appellate work for plaintiffs’ law firms in numerous areas, including insurance bad faith, HMO liability, class actions, UCL actions, asbestos, employment, personal injury and punitive damages. Ms. Arkin is a former President of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), and has been co-chair of its amicus committee for over a decade. She has repeatedly been honored with the title of “Super-Lawyer” and repeatedly named one of the Best Lawyers in America. She has received the American Bar Association’s “Pursuit of Justice” award, and CAOC’s Robert Cartwright Award and Marvin Lewis Award. Ms. Arkin received the CLAY award from California Lawyer magazine as an Appellate Attorney of the Year in 2011 and has been chosen Appellate Attorney of the Year twice by the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. Los Angeles Magazine has repeatedly named her as one of the Top 50 Women Attorneys in Southern California. She has a “Preeminent” AV rating from Martindale Hubbell.
