Jessica Hammett
Assistant Professor of Urology
Emory University
Dr. Hammett graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor degree in Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology. She then attended medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. She completed her General Surgery internship and Urology residency training at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. This was followed by specialty fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, Irvine. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Urology at Emory University. Dr. Hammett’s clinical interests include pelvic organ prolapse, female urinary incontinence, genitourinary fistulas, and urethral diverticulum. She is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society, Society of Women in Urology, and the American Urological Association. Dr. Hammett is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology (2017) and holds sub-specialty certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (2017). Dr. Hammett is closely involved in teaching and education, mentoring medical students and urology residents. She has authored several book chapters, as well as multiple articles in peer-reviewed scientific journal articles, and has participated and presented at regional and national meetings.
