Jeroen Nijpels is working in the attractions industry since 1996, but really has been in live entertainment all his life. The work in the attractions industry started with the development of indoor and outdoor amusement parks throughout South East Asia, based in Thailand, and included also building an amusement park in Saudi Arabia. From 2001, the focus was more on the trading of amusement equipment. He set up his own company JNELC in Luxembourg in 2004. The services provided to clients include sales representation for leading suppliers of attractions, including Zierer, The Producers Group, nWave Pictures, HB Leisure and Mobaro Park. Other consultancy activities include project management of visitor attractions such as the Eye On Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur and the Malaysian International Space Adventure in Putrajaya. Jeroen joined the IAAPA Global Board of Directors in 2007 for a three year term. He was certified as an IAAPA Certified Attractions Executive (ICAE) in 2011 and currently serves on the European Manufacturer & Supplier Committee. Key focus point of his activities on the Board were the further international recognition and expansion of the association and the nurturing of new talent for the association through the Young Professionals program, the program that he initiated. Since the beginning of this year, he also serves on the Board of the IAAPA Foundation. In 2013, Jeroen opened a branch office in Singapore, recognizing the importance of the Asian market and providing the clients in this vast expanding market with a local point of contact. This office is run by Mika Nur Faezah, winner of the 2018 Young Professional of the Year award.
