Baldor Specialty Foods, Inc.

Michael Muzyk brings an extensive and unique perspective of the food industry to his role as President of Baldor Specialty Foods, Inc™. Muzyk’s impressive background in culinary arts and foodservice sales is complemented by his engaging personality, passion for Baldor’s outstanding products, and dedication to top-quality customer service. A native of the Bronx, Muzyk grew up in a large family and discovered his love for cooking in high school while working in the kitchen of a children’s camp. He found a great role model and inspiration in a family member and friend, the Director of continuing education at the esteemed Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He enrolled and excelled at the CIA, and upon graduating, he worked as a chef in various businesses around the country, ranging from cruise ships to fine dining restaurants. He also lived abroad, working as a Consulting Chef for a Belgium quick-service conglomerate. In 1991, after over a decade in the kitchen, Muzyk made a career change to the sales side of foodservice. Intrigued by Baldor’s quality customer service and diverse products, Muzyk joined Baldor as a Sales Representative in 1995 and quickly advanced to Sales Manager and then Vice President, then President. Chefs continue to recognize him as one of their own and instantly trust his advice and expertise. As President, Muzyk has greatly contributed to Baldor’s exponential growth and rank as a leading food importer and distributor. His expertise in both food and customer service has led to Baldor’s unrivaled ability to educate and serve customers. Muzyk is dedicated to giving back to Baldor’s local community and his hometown. Baldor aligns with corporations committed to developing healthy business environments and with many local outreach organizations, such as Edible Schoolyard, City Harvest, City Meals-on-Wheels and NYC Foodbanks. Muzyk also plays a pivotal role in Baldor’s educational events for New York farmers.
