DEBORAH L. FEAIRHELLER, PhD., is a certified volunteer firefighter, fitness trainer, and professor of exercise physiology. She has more than 20 years of experience with exercise motivation, programming, and training. Her long-standing passion for improved cardiovascular health through exercise stems from the heart attacks and cardiovascular disease she has seen in her family. In her clinical research lab, the HEART lab, she investigates short-term interventions that will improve health and start to establish healthy life habits.
