Brandon Gottsacker is the President of Superior Fresh, one of the largest aquaponics facilities in the world. He attended UW-Stevens Point and received his bachelor’s degree in Biology. While studying biology and focusing on fisheries and aquaculture, Brandon was inspired by the realization that there still needed to be the first successful commercial land-based aquaculture business. After graduation, Brandon started the foundation of what was soon to be the first land-based Atlantic salmon farm in the United States and largest aquaponics facility in the world. The planning process led to Brandon having the opportunity to work with the Freshwater Institute and also led to many years of intense study to determine the best strategy for developing a sustainable agri-business. As Superior Fresh grows and expands, Brandon will continually strive to build his world-class team and additional farms everywhere. The future is bright for Superior Fresh because of Brandon’s vision and response to a challenge.
