I am a PhD student at the University of Colorado, Boulder. My current research focus is in control of floating offshore wind turbines. I completed a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and the University of California, San Diego (June 2016). I completed a B.S. in Environmental Engineering at UCSD one year prior. My master's coursework focus was in control systems, and my thesis was on smart inverter volt-var control to provide voltage stability on a distribution feeder in Kathmandu, Nepal. I am currently working as an intern at the National Renewable Energy Labs. I have spent time here developing control algorithms for a novel wave energy converter - this work is being prepared for publication.
