Suma Gopal is the Global lead for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) at Utopus Insights, a renewable analytics company headquartered in New York. She is responsible for customer management, ensuring customer success, and upsell. Suma is also responsible for defining product specifications driven by customer feedback and market intelligence, thereby ensuring Utopus Insights products are customer-centric and addressing the need of the hour. Suma has previously served in different capacities at Bharat Light & Power, India, a global IPP where she managed global customers, supporting them in their digital transformation journey. She set up ODC for Analytics services for global customers, project managed setting up of a Renewable Operations Control Center to monitor global renewables portfolio, and was instrumental in leveraging IoT to connect to customer farms and derive value. Prior to this, she also designed Solar PV power plants in India. Suma holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from VTU, Karnataka, India. Suma lives in New Jersey. She’s a trained classical musician, and her hobbies include yoga.
