David Bowick is the senior principal at Blackwell Structural engineers in Toronto, Canada. Founded in 1987, Blackwell is a firm of 60 employees with offices across Canada, known for challenging projects and innovation in structural engineering. David has received many industry honors since he began his career in 1990 including five IFAI international achievement awards and awards of excellence. His inventive approach to design has made him sought-after, particularly when a project calls for innovative solutions. An avid teacher, David frequently lectures on the topic of structural engineering and architecture. He is a frequent conference speaker and contributes to the industry through committees and events. David is a licensed professional engineer across Canada and practices throughout the world.
