Bill McSpadden earned a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science from The University of Virginia. Bill worked in construction, hazardous waste before starting Pacific Chai, a tea company, with his wife Joy. Pacific Chai grew from a start up in their garage to a the 6th best selling instant tea brand in the US. 15 years later, Pacific Chai was sold to Hood Dairy and Bill retired. Bill was restless in retirement and was always looking for another manufacturing business to purchase. In 2007, Bill purchased Capitol Awning. In the last 11 years, the business has doubled and the company now stands as the dominant player in the Central Virginia market and has expanded to doing work as far away as Ohio, Massachusetts, and Tennessee.
