Patrik Jacob founded Koru-Development in 2008 – an independent consultancy practice with the focus to support the development of mid-sized and family owned companies, predominantly in the convenience and petrol retail business. His customers are located in Western and Eastern Europe and recently also in the USA. He cooperates with big strategy consultant companies and gives teachings at renowned business schools. Before his entrepreneurship Jacob served as head of Shell’s convenience and food retail business in Germany, the biggest worldwide outside the US. For more than 15 years he held executive positions at Shell, BP and with several food-retailers. He also gained experience as supervisory board member for a food and non-food wholesaling company and as adviser for the Nielsen market research company. After getting his general qualification for university entrance, Jacob started his career with an apprenticeship-based business education, which he completed with a Master Graduation in Retail Business Management.
