Eric George joined Mississippi State University in April 2020, and serves as Deputy AD/CFO. In his role, he is responsible for managing all financial aspects of the department as well as providing oversight to the internal operations, capital projects and facilities areas. He also serves as the sport administrator for the football program. George spent the previous four and a half years at Clemson University where he was the Associate Athletic Director / CFO during the most successful stretch in the department’s history. He began his career in college athletics at the University of Texas in 2013, where he served as the Assistant Business Manager for two and a half years. George began his professional career working in public accounting for two years as an international tax consultant at Deloitte in Dallas, earning his CPA license during his time there. George has been an active member of College Athlete Business Management Association (CABMA), and he is a graduate of the Sports Management Institute. A native of College Station, Texas, George graduated with honors from Texas A&M in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting) and a Master’s degree in Accounting. He was a member of the A&M football team from 2005-2006. He is married to Lauren, and the two have two daughters – Annabelle and Harper.
