Benoit Cournoyer holds a DEA in Applied Acoustics from the Université du Maine au Mans (France) and a Master’s Degree in Engineering – Mechanical Vibrations – from the Université de Sherbrooke (Canada). From 1997 to 2016, he worked on numerous hydro rehabilitation projects as a design engineer first and then as a project engineer for Alstom, now GE Renewable, in North America. He was promoted to the roles of ‘’Principal Engineer’’ in 2006 and ‘’Mechanical Expert’’ in 2011. He was also GE’s Numerical Calculation Manager for 4 years. In 2016, he joined LDV ADVANCED ENGINEERING as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Hydro and as the Director of LDV Numerical Simulation Team.
