Kyle Meintzer

Kyle Meintzer was born in Fargo, ND in 1948 to an Irish WW II War Bride and an American soldier who was a Silver Star award winner and a three-time Purple Heart recipient. Kyle considers Sioux Falls, SD as his hometown, where he captained his high school golf team when not waterfowl hunting in the Prairie Pothole the eastern part of the state. He graduated college from Utah State University with a degree in Political Science in 1970, after which he went on to serve his country as an Instructor Navigator and Flight Examiner in the 4th Airborne Command Control Squadron of the Strategic Air Command of the USAF. Upon leaving the Service in 1975, , he became a Certified Financial Planner with Lincoln Financial Advisors, a position he holds today after almost 44 years of serving his clients. In addition to co-founding the first ever Ducks Unlimited Chapter on a military base in 1973, in 2001, Kyle founded the California Chapter of the Wild Sheep Foundation, which has experienced tremendous success under his leadership. In 2007, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Wild Sheep Foundation, where he served until he was term-limited out in 2016. In addition to being a passionate hunter and conservationist, Kyle also has a rather amazing history as a very accomplished and successful marathoner (twice completing the 26.2 mile distance at an average pace of under six-minutes-per-mile), as well as running 33 Ultra-Marathons, to include eleven 100 mile high mountain trail runs. Today, Kyle lives in Reno, NV with his lovely wife, Joanne, and their seriously lovable Golden Retriever, Sierra.
