Catrin began her engineering career almost 30-years ago. She has worked as both a dam owner and engineering consultant. As an owner she was involved or responsible for all aspects of hydrogeneration, from licensing, operation, and maintenance, to dam safety, facility improvements and managing personnel. During the past 8 years Catrin has specialized in dam safety in the northwest of Canada and USA, performing FERC Part12D inspections and Dam Safety Reviews; as well as hydro-plant condition assessments. She is a registered professional engineer in the USA and Canada, and is the vice-president of the Canadian Dam Association, a Board member with Northwest Hydro Associations and a frequent contributor to dam safety related technical publications.
