Cindy Burt, OTR/L, CPE has 25+ years of experience in the field of ergonomics. She started the UCLA Ergonomics Program in the late 1980’s when computer overuse injuries were first recognized as a major issue for employees. Since that time, the program has grown to include laboratory, service industry, construction and industrial settings. In her role as UCLA Injury Prevention Manager, Cindy integrated ergonomics with safety, wellness, job accommodation, and return-to-work programs to reduce musculoskeletal injuries. She retired from the university in 2016, but continues to contribute to the UCLA Ergonomics program and the UC System-wide Ergonomics Workgroup.
