Since 2001, Megan Amsler has been the Executive Director of Self-Reliance, a non-profit, women-led organization whose mission is to simplify complex energy issues to educate, inspire, and empower people to take action. Megan has a wide range of experience with renewable energy projects and workforce training. She has been involved in small wind, community wind, offshore wind, residential and commercial solar, including community-shared solar projects. Community outreach is a main tenet of Megan’s energy work. She also teaches a variety of classes on renewable energy-from college level to elementary. She is working with the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in establishing the first full suite of the Global Wind Organization’s basic safety training modules in the US for the offshore and land-based wind industry.
