Thomas Decker
President
Chicago Green Insulation, Inc.

Tom Decker has a 35 year career working in various capacities from human rights work with inmates on death row in Oklahoma, where he is from, to direct service work running after school programs in public housing in NYC to serving in various roles for inner city kids at residential summer camps in upstate New York working with kids who have various learning challenges and are not likely to go to college. Tom is the survivor of someone who was murdered. Garland McKinney, his godfather was murdered in 1972 for being openly gay. This horrific act and the recognition that all people need a purpose in life and the opportunity to find forgiveness, Tom works everyday to keep Garland’s memory alive and to solve the issues of violence and hopelessness that he believes led to his Godfather’s murder! In 2013 Tom raised the capital to start Chicago Green Insulation with the expressed purpose of using foam insulation to do good work, helping people find employment regardless of being an ex-felon, while making homes and businesses super energy efficient. Tom is working with College of Lake County and the Lake County Illinois Jail teaching 10 currently incarcerated individuals how to install spray foam insulation. Tom was named by Crains Chicago Business, one of the Notable Entrepreneurs of Chicago for 2019. https://www.chicagobusiness.com/awards/tom-decker Comfort is only a FOAM CALL AWAY! 847-987-3626 tom@chicagogreeninsulation.com
