Joan Cook focuses on “making a difference” through employer driven workforce and industry initiatives. Her work in addressing manufacturing industry issues has led to local, regional, national and international recognition. Her background includes successful start-up, turn around and operation of private and non-profit manufacturing industry backed programs and schools. She served from 2009-2019 as the Executive Director of RICOWI, Inc., an international think tank that focuses on extreme weather impact on roofs. She currently is the Executive Director of the newly formed RICOWI Foundation, Inc. She also consults as a Team Leader with the National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS).
