Ole Barré works in DNV GL’s San Diego office as a Sr. Env. Project Manager. Ole comes from Sempra Renewables, where for the last 6 years he oversaw permitting, environmental and safety teams for utility scale wind and solar projects throughout the United States. Currently, Mr. Barré oversees DNV GL's renewable consulting services for utility scale wind and solar projects within the United States. He works extensively with the National Environmental Policy Act, US Fish and Wildlife Service guidance, negotiating with regulatory agencies, and finds solutions to complex compliance challenges that occur during development, construction and operations of utility scale renewable projects. Mr. Barre' specializes in permitting for the National Environmental Policy Act, regulatory coordination and permit acquisition, renewable energy development, project management, environmental and land use planning. Mr. Barré holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California. His work has a direct impact on sustainability and our global effort to address climate change.
