Peter Ballon is responsible for CPPIB's global real estate portfolio and is Chair of the Real Estate Investment Committee, which has oversight for CPPIB's real estate investments. He is a Board member of Aliansce Shopping Centers, a Brazilian public company, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Prior to joining CPPIB in 2007, he worked with several leading real estate companies including Canderel, Brookfield and TrizecHahn.
