Wendy Waters is the Senior Director of Research Services at GWL Realty Advisors, an institutional real estate manager with approximately $13B in assets under management across Canada and an additional $3B in the U.S. Based in Vancouver, she leads the national research team. Their responsibilities include providing analysis of economic, demographic and market trends in order to support long-term asset acquisition, development and management strategies in all asset classes. To inform GWLRA’s multi-residential holdings and growth, the research team analyzes custom census-based data, scrutinizes economic and employment trends, monitors urban living shifts, and recently conducted a 1,200 renter survey combined with 888 home-owning empty-nesters to analyze future rental demand and required offerings. Wendy has been with GWLRA Research for over 12 years, and was previously with Avison Young. She is on the Management Committee for ULI B.C.'s District Council.
