Matt Gibson, CVE, is honored to have been working at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena in Spokane, Washington since 1999 and the general manager since 2011. His favorite experiences at the venue include: • Missing Spokane's only Dixie Chicks appearance due to the birth of his son in 2000 • Witnessing the perfect concert: The Eagles in 2002 • Hearing Dolly Parton explain how she starves herself in 2004 • Actually being scared as a 35-foot tyrannosaurus rex rounded on him in 2007 • Star Wars: In Concert in June 2010 • Seven sold-out Garth Brooks performances in November 2017 • Helping to create and bring twelve NCAA Basketball Championship events to town Matt's interests include smart design, do-it-yourself projects at home, winemaking, music and technology from the 1940s, and LEGO. Matt adores his wife, Brooklyn, and their three kids, Blake (19), Ella (14) and Lola (10).
