Todd Hunt, CVE has been involved in the live entertainment industry since his days on the concert committee at Mississippi State University nearly 30 years ago. Hunt is currently Executive Director of the BancorpSouth Arena and Conference Center in Tupelo, MS, a post he has held since 2007. Hunt is very active in the International Association of Venue Managers, currently serving as the Chair of the Board of Regents at Venue Management School. He has also served on the IAVM Board of Directors as Chair of Region 5 (2017-2018), as Sector Director for Arenas (2014-2016), and was also Arenas Committee Chair (2011-2014), Vice Chair (2010-11), and committee member (2006-10). He has served on the Venue Connect, Industry Affairs, and Education Council committees, and is currently Past Chair of Region 5.From 1999-2007, he was the Director of Humphrey Coliseum and Athletic Concessions for Mississippi State University. Hunt’s first general manager position was from 1997-99 at the Tupelo Coliseum, where he negotiated the first venue naming rights deal in the state of Mississippi while also bringing professional sports (ice hockey and indoor soccer) to the area for the first time. He has also held positions at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, Auburn University, and served as assistant venue manager of the Ocoee Whitewater Center during the 1996 Olympic Games.A native of Starkville, Mississippi, Hunt holds a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University and a master’s degree from the University of Mississippi. Hunt is also a second generation venue manager whose father was a long time member of what was then the International Association of Assembly Managers.
