Jim graduated with a Bachelors from SUNY Oneonta in 1974. After approximately 7 years in the Hospitality industry his first position in the pool & spa Industry was as NE Factory salesman for Hydrotech Corp. in 1981, then was a branch manager for a small distributor in Upstate NY. By the late 80's he took a position with LaPorte Chemicals as Northeast Territory Manager, and moved to Georgia when promoted to National Sales Mgr for their private label division, as well as for their RV Industry maintenance chemical brand. In the late 90's he took a position with Albemarle Corporation out of Baton Rouge as Senior Chemical Specialist concentrating on growing their footprint in the Recreational Water Industry. (This is where he first met Jack, when he became a customer buying specialty bulk chemicals from Albemarle). In the mid 2000's he went to work for Eastern Regional Sales for Jack's Magic and was in that position for approximately 3 years. Since then he worked for a manufacturers Rep firm, and worked as same for himself. Among the products he represented were several spa lines, liners and covers, a pump line, a filter line, various supply products. During this period, he was retained by Jack's Magic as a technical specialist to provide training classes and to help do field stain diagnosis and training. He had a Territory Manager position with another specialty chemical line, then as a Southeast Territory Manager for CMP. He then returned full time to Jack's Magic in July 2016 as Southeast US Sales Manager.
