Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State University


Al Karosas is the General Manager of the Bryce Jordan Center, a 15,000 seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of Penn State University. The “BJC” is home to Penn State men’s and women’s basketball as well as the biggest concerts in the business. Al also was tasked to open and serve as the General Manager of the newly built Pegula Ice Arena, a 6000+ hockey arena on campus. He also serves as an adjunct professor where he teaches an Introduction to Arena Management and an Advanced Arena Management class for the Recreation, Park, Tourism and Restaurant Management department at Penn State. Al also co-teaches and co-created a brand-new online class for Penn State Outreach specific for Arena Management. In addition to his work and education at Penn State, Al has been a member of IAVM for almost 25 years. He is a graduate of the IAVM Venue Management School and the Graduate Institute. Al also has served on the IAVM University Committee and has earned his Certified Venue Executive Certification (CVE) from IAVM.
