Max Cohen is an Associate Director of IHS Markit’s Power and Renewables group. Mr. Cohen’s research focuses on all aspects of the North American onshore and offshore wind market, including project development trends, technology cost and performance, corporate strategies, supply chain, operations and maintenance (O&M), and targeted policies. Mr. Cohen is one of the lead contributors to the IHS Markit wind power plant benchmarking service, which provides detailed analysis on the performance of over 30 GW of installed wind capacity. He also contributes to IHS Markit’s global renewables advisory services. He is a recognized expert who has been quoted in publications including the Wall Street Journal, and who speaks regularly at wind industry events including AWEA Windpower and CERAWeek by IHS Markit. Mr. Cohen holds an MA from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a BA from Columbia University. He lives and works in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
