Eugene Hardison, Director of Event Operations for Chicago’s McCormick Place, is a 32-year veteran of the convention and trade show industry - where he oversees event operations at the nation’s largest convention center. Serving nearly 3 million visitors each year, McCormick Place features 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space, 173 meeting rooms, and a 10,000 seat basketball arena. Hardison oversees fire safety, production, meeting room setup, front of house services and traffic management - including truck marshalling, busway operations, railway relations, cab and rideshare, and other transportation and freight-related initiatives to service the accessibility of the facility.
